Bonjour!

The League of Broken Gentlemen is both a model and a movement. We forge more than just knives—we forge healing, identity, and purpose. Our hands-on, artisan-led program pairs veterans with skilled craftspeople to transform pain into creation. This unique method of recovery serves not only as our core service, but as proof of concept.

Yet our vision is broader. We seek to unite like-minded veteran service organizations around the world into a single, collaborative network—sharing resources, knowledge, and opportunities. By lifting each other up, we break down the barriers that stand between veterans and the care they deserve.
We are a spark—and a forge.
A blueprint—and a builder.

Our Vision, Mission & Method
Our Vision: To create a collaborative international network of veteran service organizations dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of disabled veterans and victims of war. By uniting our resources, knowledge, experiences, and expertise, we aim to reduce barriers to treatment and care—ensuring no veteran walks alone on the path to healing.

Though the focus is on veterans with PTSD, we don't want to turn anyone away. If you are suffering, don't be afraid to reach out. Nationality, gender, occupation....it doesn't matter to us.

Our Mission:
We forge healing through fire and fellowship.
Our mission is to provide a safe, creative space where veterans and victims of trauma reclaim their strength through the demanding, purposeful craft of knife making. Guided by skilled artisans who share their scars and stories, participants transform raw steel—and themselves—into something strong, sharp, and beautiful.

Through this hands-on, peer-led process, we help individuals rediscover purpose, embrace their wounds with honor, and find brotherhood on the path to healing. We don’t offer charity—we offer challenge, craft, and connection.

Our Method: We are not mental health professionals. We are just two guys trying to make a small difference. We forge knives in the Alps. Both of us are combat veterans who suffer from PTSD. The process of forging a knife makes you uncomfortable and vulnerable. All of your mistakes, which are inevitable, are in full view.

Using knife forging as a vehicle, we strive to reassure you physically and mentally. We are willing to share our own experiences to demonstrate that you are in a safe and like-minded place. Confronting your fears and expressing your trauma is a big step towards taming the dragon within.
